Farewell letter from Dyhanara Rios, Community Relations Coordinator and Center Manager of Eco Centro

Hello Friends and Colleagues,

We have a lot of big changes at Eco Centro in the coming months.

First, it is bittersweet to let you know that Tuesday, June 7 will be my last day at Eco Centro. I am leaving San Antonio (my beloved hometown) this summer to continue my career and seek graduate school opportunities on the east coast.

Second, please visit this page to read a farewell letter from our Director, who is also leaving in early June, and for details about the open director position. Please contact Dr. Stella Lovato with questions or concerns regarding San Antonio College or Center/Farm Operations.

Please send any meeting room reservation requests, tours, field trips, educational event/programming and other requests for information to sac-ecocentro@alamo.edu. The Garcia Street Farm staff can be reached at garciastfarm@gmail.com. We ask for patience with all requests as the Center and Farm will be severely understaffed. As always, we appreciate your partnership and support for our educational programming and efforts at the farm. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Finally, I’m proud to announce the launch of our new websites – ecocentrosatx.org and garciastreetfarm.org.

Thank you for your partnership through the years, and I wish you all the very best.

In service,

Dyhanara Rios
